You’ve been asking and we’re happy to have an answer! Now announcing Garmin Connect, the latest integration we now have with Garmin devices to help keep all of your workout stats and data in one place. Running, walking, cycling, swimming, skiing, triathlons — no matter how you move, you can record your active lifestyle on Garmin Connect and MapMyFitness platforms simultaneously.
Here’s how to get started!
1.From the “Device Connect” page (http://www.mapmyrun.com/workout/import/dashboard/), select the new “Connect” button. The “Import From Garmin” button will still be functional enabling you to manually import your data from Garmin in the event that the “Connect” option fails.
2.This will take you to the “Garmin Connect” page and will ask you if you authorize MapMyFitness to use your Garmin information. Allow this so we can keep making progress!
3.If you have not synched your mobile device with Garmin before it will automatically sync the last 30 days worth of activity.
If the issue arises where you do not see your workouts within the MapMyFitness app you are using please check to make sure that your workout has been properly saved to your Garmin/Garmin Express account. Once “Garmin Connect” is synced with your MapMyFitness account workouts should load immediately but if not you may need to refresh the page.
Please note that older Garmin device will still be able to use the old Garmin plugin however, new devices will not be able to use the old plugin.
At this time the Garmin Vivofit is currently not supported within “Garmin Connect”.
